Jesus Christ - Before His Birth
Jesus Christ always existed. He was in the beginning with God. Jesus Christ was the one who actually did the creation of the heaven and earth.
"In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make." John 1:1-3
"Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him. He existed before everything else began, and he holds all creation together." Colossians 1:16-17
Jesus Christ was actually the one who dealt with ancient Israel in the wilderness. According to the bible, no-one has ever seen or heard the voice God, so it had to be Jesus - the Word - who spoke with Moses in the wilderness.
"And the Father himself has also testified about me. You have never heard his voice or seen him face to face..." John 5:37
"No one has ever seen God." 1 John 4:12
"Then Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and seventy of the leaders of Israel went up the mountain. There they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there seemed to be a pavement of brilliant sapphire, as clear as the heavens. And though Israel's leaders saw God, he did not destroy them. In fact, they shared a meal together in God's presence." Exodus 24:9-11
"And the Lord said to Moses, 'Say this to the people of Israel: You are witnesses that I have spoken to you from heaven." Exodus 20:22
It is scriptures like these that tend to make the bible seem contradictory. But you have to study the bible in depth and put everything into perspective. It only makes sense that Jesus Christ was the one who dealt and spoke with everyone in the Old Testament on God's behalf.
"As followers of Moses, they were all baptized in the cloud and the sea. And all of them ate the same miraculous food, and all of them drank the same miraculous water. For they all drank from the miraculous rock that travelled with them, and that rock was Christ." I Corinthians 10:3-4
"So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness". John 1:14
